North Star has won eight straight games at home, while Glenns Ferry has won eight straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Friday. The Huskies will host the Pilots at 3:30 p.m. One thing working in North Star's favor is that they have posted at least ten runs in their last six matches.
North Star's pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Wednesday. They were the clear victors by a 17-0 margin over Garden Valley. The result was nothing new for the Huskies, who have now won 14 games by eight runs or more so far this season.
Luke Fox made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out nine over five innings pitched. Fox was also big at the plate, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with three stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI. Those three stolen bases gave him a new career-high.

In other batting news, Teague Fox was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with four runs, two stolen bases, and two RBI. Those four runs gave him a new career-high. Cole Young was another key player, going 2-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple.
North Star was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .522. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .429 or higher in five consecutive matchups.
Meanwhile, Glenns Ferry sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 6-5 victory over Idaho City on Wednesday. The Pilots haven't had any issues with the Wildcats recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.
Like North Star, Glenns Ferry also got a great game from a two-way player: Bryce Sterling. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out eight batters over 5.1 innings while giving up just two earned (and two unearned) runs off two hits. Sterling was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI. He has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last seven times he's played.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Heath Parsons, who went 2-for-3 with three runs and one triple. That triple was his first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Payton Reynolds, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double.
The victory got Glenns Ferry back to even at 11-11-1. As for North Star, their win bumped their record up to 16-2.
Both the two teams just can't seem to miss. North Star has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 11.4 hits per game. However, it's not like Glenns Ferry struggles in that department as they've been averaging only 4.7 hits. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
North Star beat Glenns Ferry 8-5 when the teams last played back in April. Do the Huskies have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Pilots turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
