Baseball Recap: Orofino Wins Going Away Against Northwest Christian

Orofino picked up another tournament win on Saturday. They blew past the Northwest Christian Wolverines 15-4. The Maniacs might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five matchups by 11 runs or more this season.

Orofino got a massive performance out of Quinton Naranjo, who scored two runs while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances. Aiden Olive was another key player, scoring three runs while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances.

The victory made it two in a row for Orofino and bumps their season record up to 6-2. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 5 runs in those games. As for Northwest Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Orofino will challenge Priest River at 2:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Northwest Christian, they will square off against Quilcene at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
