The Westerly Bulldogs will square off against the North Kingstown Skippers at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Westerly will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.
Westerly's pitching crew heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They put the hurt on Toll Gate with a sharp 10-0 win. Considering the Bulldogs have won three contests by more than nine runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

The team relied heavily on Bella Mazzarese, who fired off two home runs and five RBI while going 2-for-3. Those two home runs gave her a new career-high. Addison Poole was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while getting on base in two of her four plate appearances.
Westerly was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .381. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .381 or higher in four consecutive games.
The home team had come away the winner the last four times North Kingstown and East Providence had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The Skippers narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Townies 5-4. That's two games straight that the Skippers have won by just one run.
Gianna Amedeo spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned runs on eight hits and racked up 13 Ks. Those 13 strikeouts set a new season-high mark for her.
On the hitting side, Amelia Fries was excellent, going 1-for-2 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI. That triple marked the first that she hit this season.
Westerly's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 4-2. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.5 runs on average over those games. As for North Kingstown, their win bumped their record up to 3-1.
North Kingstown's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Westerly has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .467. It's a different story for North Kingstown, though, as they've only averaged .346. Will they be able to contain Westerly's hitters?
Westerly beat North Kingstown 7-2 in their previous matchup back in April of 2024. Will the Bulldogs repeat their success, or do the Skippers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
