Jaylen Johnson's Big Game Leads Thomas County Central over Northside
Starting off the list is Thomas County Central's Jaylen Johnson, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Johnson threw for 231 yards and three touchdowns on only 19 passes, and also rushed for 59 yards and a touchdown. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in rushing yards.
For the year, Johnson has thrown 19 touchdowns while averaging 217.2 passing yards per game. That doesn't tell the whole story though: at this point last year, he was only averaging 60.34 passer rating per game. This year he is averaging 125.96 passer rating.

Ousmane Kromah was instrumental in extending Lee County's winning streak to eight on Friday. Veterans had no answer to Kromah as he picked up 96 receiving yards and two touchdowns, and also rushed for 74 yards and a touchdown on only seven carries.
Unfortunately for Veterans, this isn't the first big game they've seen from Kromah. Kromah rushed for 151 yards and a touchdown while picking up 9.4 yards per carry, and also picked up 54 receiving yards and a touchdown the last time he and the Warhawks duked it out back in October of 2023.

Rodney Dunbar Turns in Season-Best Performance
On Friday, Thomas County Central got the W thanks in part to Rodney Dunbar playing the best football he has all season. Dunbar picked up 103 receiving yards and three touchdowns.
On the year, Dunbar has caught 5 touchdowns while averaging 42.5 receiving yards per game.

Weston Bryan and Co. Win Eighth in a Row
Weston Bryan's big game helped extend Lee County's winning streak to eight on Friday. Bryan was dynamite, throwing for 276 yards and three touchdowns while completing 72.7% of his passes.
Bryan must have Veterans's number; he was a force to be reckoned with the last time he faced them too. Back in October of 2023 (the last time Bryan saw the Warhawks), he threw for 170 yards and three touchdowns on only 16 passes, and also rushed for 44 yards and a touchdown.

Lee County picked up their eighth consecutive win on Friday thanks in part to Canton Williams. Williams produced his best game of the campaign : he rushed for 66 yards and two touchdowns on only six carries.
For the year, Williams has run in 7 touchdowns while averaging 57 rushing yards per game. He's made a big improvement compared to last season: at this point last year, he had two rushing touchdowns.
