Tucker County was led to victory by Raven Matthews and Macy Helmick. Matthews dropped a double-double on 13 points and 13 rebounds, while Helmick scored 15 points along with six assists and five rebounds. That's the first time this season that Helmick scored 15 or more points. Brylee Wetzel was another key contributor, scoring 14 points.
Tucker County's win bumped their record up to 6-2. As for Moorefield, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-6.
Tucker County will head out on the road to face off against Charleston Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Moorefield, they will be playing at home against Frankfort at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Frankfort is hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses.
