The Carroll Eagles will head out on the road to take on the Vigor Wolves at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. Hopefully Carroll focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 17 on Thursday.
After a string of four wins, Carroll's good fortune finally ran out. They lost to Charles Henderson on the road by a decisive 70-53 margin. Carroll has struggled against Charles Henderson recently, as their game on Thursday was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.
Despite their loss, Carroll saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Devon Pruitt, who scored 12 points along with eight rebounds, was perhaps the best of all. Pruitt is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down eight or more in the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Michael Culver, who scored 14 points along with five rebounds.
Meanwhile, it can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Vigor had no problem doing just that on Thursday. They put the hurt on the Rattlers with a sharp 75-54 victory. Vigor has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 13 contests by 20 points or more this season.
Carroll's defeat dropped their record down to 20-7. As for Vigor, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 18 of their last 19 games, which provided a nice bump to their 24-6 record this season.
