The Fultondale Wildcats lost against the Dora Bulldogs back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. Fultondale was outmatched by Dora on the road and fell 73-39. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Fultondale in their matchups with Dora: they've now lost six in a row.
Dora's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Ja'laya Harris led the charge by scoring 22 points along with six rebounds and five steals. Harris has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last eight times she's played. Bella Reese was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 20 points and ten rebounds.
Fultondale's defeat dropped their record down to 5-16. As for Dora, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 22-6.
Fultondale does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Dora, they will play host again and welcome Montevallo, where tip off is scheduled for 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Dora is not getting complacent, as they presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Montevallo in Alabama (Dora is ranked 122nd, while Montevallo is ranked 313th).
