Meanwhile, Gateway's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their eighth straight loss. They took a serious blow against Adams City, falling 52-20. Having soared to a lofty 59 points in the game before, Gateway couldn't push the score so high this time.
Far Northeast W's defeat dropped their record down to 6-9. As for Gateway, they dropped their record down to 2-11 with that defeat, which was their third straight on the road.
Far Northeast W and Gateway were neck-and-neck in their previous meeting back in December of 2023, but Far Northeast W came up empty-handed after a 42-41 loss. Can Far Northeast W avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
