The Wakefield Wolverines will challenge the Wake Prep Academy Guardians at 6:00  p.m.  on Wednesday. Wakefield will be strutting in after a  win while Wake Prep Academy will be coming in after a  loss.
Last Monday, Wakefield came out on top against Heritage by a score of  5-3 (the very same score they lost by in their prior game).

Wakefield got a great performance from  Tyler Rotellini as he  struck out nine batters over  six innings while giving up  three earned runs off   five  hits (and only one walk). That's the most  strikeouts  Rotellini has posted since back in March.
 On the hitting side, Wakefield saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Channing Parker, who  scored two  runs while going 1-for-2.
 Meanwhile, Wake Prep Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight  defeat. They lost  14-2 to East Wake Academy.
 Wakefield has  been performing  incredibly well recently as they've  won ten of their last 11 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-3 record  this season. The  victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 6.4 runs over those games. As for Wake Prep Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 6-6.
 Wakefield took their  win against Wake Prep Academy  when the teams last played  back in February of 2024 by a conclusive  12-0 score. Will the Wolverines repeat their success,  or do  the Guardians have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
