Downtown Doral's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Juan Diego Castro, who scored 19 points. Castro is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 15 or more in the last seven games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Sebastian Bueno, who scored 16 points along with five assists and five rebounds.
JC Bermudez Doral's win on Thursday was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Erik Pardo, who scored 27 points along with five rebounds and two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Pardo has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Cristian Siri, who scored 19 points along with five rebounds and two blocks.
Downtown Doral dropped their record down to 3-13 with that defeat, which was their sixth straight on the road. Those losses can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.0 points per game. As for JC Bermudez Doral, their win bumped their record up to 5-10.
Downtown Doral won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Academy for Innovative Education at 5:00 p.m. on January 26th. Academy for Innovative Education is coming into the matchup on a four-game losing streak. As for JC Bermudez Doral, they will head out on the road to take on Dr. Krop at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
