After a string of three wins, Cadott's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Grantsburg Pirates. The Hornets were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Pirates earlier this season, when they won 2-1.
Haley Mathison paced Cadott's offense, picking up 12 kills. Mathison got some help from Karlee Davis and her 15 assists. Kollyns Zastrow controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.
Cadott's defeat dropped their record down to 22-10. As for Grantsburg, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 24-6.
Coincidentally, Cadott and Grantsburg will both be playing Amery the next time they take the court. The Pirates will head out to face the Warriors at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, while the Hornets will play them later in the day, at 2:00 p.m.
