Sadly, the Ten Sleep Pioneers are still looking for their first win of the season after eight games. They were dealt a 42-12 defeat at the hands of Meeteetse on Friday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Ten Sleep of the 40-16 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture last Tuesday.
It was another big night for Kayla Horsen, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and ten steals for Meeteetse. That makes it 15 consecutive games in which Horsen has scored at least a third of Meeteetse's points. Kaylin Bass was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with seven rebounds.
Ten Sleep's defeat dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Meeteetse, their victory ended a 13-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 4-13.
Coincidentally, both teams will both be playing Riverside the next time they take the court. Meeteetse will host Riverside at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday, while Ten Sleep will host them at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
