Pungo Christian Academy took down Crossroads Christian on Friday, a win that might not have happened without Evan Woolard's effort. Woolard wasn't messing around, striking out nine batters over 3.2 innings while giving up three earned (and one unearned) runs off only two hits. The pitching appearance was his third straight with two or fewer hits.

Coming up, Woolard and Pungo Christian Academy will venture away from home to take on Albemarle School at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
