Sylva Bay Academy had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6.3 runs) and they went ahead and made it four on Friday. They blew past Discovery Christian 12-1. The Saints might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine games by six runs or more this season.

Lane Miller made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in ten consecutive appearances. He was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring two runs while going 2-for-4.

In other batting news, Levi West was excellent, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while going 2-for-4. Another player making a difference was Timothy Moss, who scored a run and stole three bases while going 2-for-4.

Sylva Bay Academy pushed their record up to 13-6 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for Discovery Christian, they are on a ten-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5.

Coming up, Sylva Bay Academy will be playing in front of their home fans against Manchester Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Discovery Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
