The Centennial Coyotes will be home for the holidays to greet the Ironwood Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Arizona (Centennial is ranked 175th, while Ironwood is ranked 179th).
Last Wednesday, in a tight matchup that could have gone either way, Centennial made off with a 38-37 victory over Paradise Valley. The victory was just what Centennial needed coming off of a 64-26 defeat in their prior game.
Centennial's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Akasha Prpich, who scored 14 points along with nine rebounds. That makes it four consecutive games in which Prpich has scored at least 25% of Centennial's points. Kaleia Young was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with eight rebounds.
Meanwhile, Ironwood's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their fourth straight loss. They ended up on the wrong side of a tough 53-31 walloping at the hands of Paradise Valley. Ironwood was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 30-8.
Centennial's victory bumped their record up to 4-6. As for Ironwood, they bumped their record down to 3-6 with that loss, which was their third straight on the road.
