 Despite the  defeat, Battle Mountain saw an underclassman step up: sophomore  Ruthie Casey  posted 12 points and six  rebounds. Those  12  points gave  Casey a new career-high.
 Greeley Central got their  victory on the backs of several key players, but it was  Madison Sepeda out in front who  had 12 points and six  steals. Sepeda has been hot, having  posted two or more  steals the last six times she's  played. Another player making a difference was  Leah Archibueque, who  put up eight  points and eight  boards.
Battle Mountain's loss dropped their record down to 10-14. As for Greeley Central, the  win was  the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 13-11.
 Battle Mountain does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Greeley Central, they have already played their next matchup,  a  52-29  defeat against Durango on the 1st.
