Campbell County is a perfect 6-0 against Calvary Christian since May of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Camels will look to defend their home field against the Cougars at 5:30 p.m. The timing is sure in Campbell County's favor as the team sits on three straight wins at home while Calvary Christian has been banged up by 12 consecutive losses on the road dating back to last season.
Campbell County was handed a 12-run defeat in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Thursday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 9-8 victory over Cooper. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.
Hope Hamilton spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned (and four unearned) runs on ten hits and racked up eight Ks.

At the plate, Faith Whitford was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with three runs, two doubles, and one RBI. Those four hits gave her a new career-high. Moriah Price was another key player, going 2-for-4 with three RBI and one run.
Campbell County hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Cooper struck out nine times.
Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Calvary Christian challenged Bellevue on Saturday. The Cougars came up short against the Tigers, falling 17-5.
Kennedy Wright was cooking despite her team's loss, getting on base in two of her three plate appearances with two stolen bases and two runs. Another player making a difference was Ellie Gray, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.
Campbell County is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-6 record this season. As for Calvary Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 2-18.
Tuesday's contest might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Campbell County has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .453. However, it's not like Calvary Christian struggles in that department as they've averaged .571. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
