The Front Range Christian Falcons are taking a road trip to square off against the Gilpin County Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Front Range Christian will be strutting in after a victory while Gilpin County will be coming in after a loss.
Front Range Christian headed into their last game having not scored more than 13 points for three straight, but Lyons let them put that streak behind them. The Falcons simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat the Lions 38-0. The Falcons' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Front Range Christian's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Lawson Edwards, who rushed for 100 yards and two scores on only 13 carries, and also threw for 161 yards and one TD. Those 161 passing yards gave Edwards a new career-high. Corbin Rounds was another key back, gaining 142 total yards and a touchdown.
They were just one part of a punishing run game: Front Range Christian was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 234 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.
Front Range Christian didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Dawid Eifling, Caleb Harms, and Judah Hayes picked up one apiece.
Meanwhile, Gilpin County played a tough contest on Thursday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were dealt a 60-32 defeat at the hands of Clear Creek. The Eagles' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.
Front Range Christian will have to contain Landon Church as he made an impact in Gilpin County's last game. He picked up 94 receiving yards and a pair of touchdowns, and also rushed for 101 yards on only 12 carries. Church also put in work on the defensive side of the ball, forcing one fumble and making seven total tackles.
Front Range Christian's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-4. As for Gilpin County, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-2.
Front Range Christian came up short against Gilpin County in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, falling 24-20. Thankfully for the Falcons, Drew Starkey (who rushed for 161 yards and three TDs) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result? There's only one way to find out.
