The Murray County Indians won against the Rockmart Yellowjackets last Friday with 65 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Tuesday. Murray County enjoyed a cozy 65-51 win over Rockmart. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Murray County.
Despite the loss, Rockmart still got an impressive performance from Treylin Davis, who scored 15 points along with nine rebounds and three steals. Davis hasn't dropped below 15points for nine straight games. Hunter Atkins was another key contributor, scoring 11 points.
Murray County's victory bumped their record up to 12-7. As for Rockmart, their loss dropped their record down to 16-4.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Murray County will take on Lumpkin County at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Rockmart, they will head out on the road to take on Haralson County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Haralson County has now lost seven straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 28.
