There's no place like home for the Beulah Bobcats, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Friday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past Wadley 53-51. For Beulah, this counts as revenge for the 61-58 defeat the Bulldogs walked away with the last time they faced one another back in December of 2022.
Wadley lost on Monday despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Damarious Spraddling, who scored 20 points. Jaquez Wilkes was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with 11 rebounds.
Beulah pushed their record up to 8-7 with that victory, which was their sixth straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.2 points per game. As for Wadley, they have not been sharp recently as the team's lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-7 record this season.
Beulah won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against the Tigers at 6:30 p.m. on January 23rd. As for Wadley, they won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against the Bulldogs at 5:30 p.m. on January 23rd.
