The Williams Valley Vikings are taking a road trip to challenge the Panther Valley Panthers at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Williams Valley is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.2 runs per game this season.
Williams Valley had taken Minersville down for two straight games at home, but that winning streak came to an end on Thursday. The Vikings took a 6-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Battlin' Miners. The Vikings have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Mason Bowser was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he pitched 6.1 innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off seven hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one walk in five consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Williams Valley saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Cody Boehmer, who went 3-for-4 with one stolen base and one double.
Meanwhile, Panther Valley came into Monday's contest having lost four straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. Everything went their way against Notre Dame on Monday as they made off with a 10-0 win. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for the Panthers' hitters, who had struggled in the games prior.
Brody Breiner made a splash while hitting and pitching. He didn't allow a single earned run while striking out six over five innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in April. He was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with two stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Logan Fisher, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base. That's the most runs he has posted since back in April. Chase Krynock also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.
Panther Valley always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .567. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Panther Valley's record is now 5-13. As for Williams Valley, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-11.
