There's no place like home for the Southside Tigers, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Friday. They came out on top against Palmetto by a score of 64-56 on Tuesday. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Southside found their leader in underclassman Jaden Johnson, who scored 28 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Angerrelle Gomes-Ramsey, who scored eight points along with 15 rebounds and four blocks.
Southside's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-12. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.7 points per game. As for Palmetto, they are on a 11-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-18.
Coincidentally, Southside and Palmetto will both be playing Wren the next time they take the court. Southside will head out to face Wren at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, while Palmetto will head out to face them at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
