Taylor Hays Turns in Season-Best Effort
On Friday, Basalt got the W thanks in part to Taylor Hays playing the best football he has all season. Hays picked up 100 receiving yards and two touchdowns, and also rushed for 56 yards and two touchdowns. The effort marked the most rushing yards he has had since back in August of 2023. He really caught the secondary sleeping when he pulled down a catch that went for 71 yards.
The win for Basalt keeps them at an undefeated 7-0. Hays and Basalt will venture away from home to square off against Middle Park at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Reed Made His Presence Known in Delta's 28-7 Victory
Delta found a leader in Ty Reed as the squad took down Aspen on Friday. Nobody could stop Reed as he rushed for 41 yards and two touchdowns, and also threw for 136 yards and two touchdowns.
Delta pushed their record up to 5-2 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. Reed will try to repeat (or improve) on that dominant effort when he faces off against Moffat County on Friday.

While Moffat County might've come up empty on Friday, Zachary Hedman wasn't going down without a fight. Hedman turned in nothing short of a gem, rushing for 137 yards and a touchdown.

Grayson Isenhart continued his hot streak on Saturday by dropping his 16th-straight game (dating back to last season) with at least 13 total tackles. He picked up a sack and made 16 total tackles (1.5 for loss) in addition to snagging an interception.
If the past is any indication, Isenhart could be in store for another big game when he takes on Aspen on Friday. Isenhart forced a fumble and made 20 total tackles (2.0 for loss) the last time he and the Skiers duked it out back in September of 2023.
