The third road game was the charm for The Williamsville Bullets, as they earned their first road win of the season. They blew past Auburn 51-22 on the road. With Williamsville ahead 28-8 at the half, the contest was all but over already.
Braddock Cates continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 330 yards and five touchdowns while picking up 12.7 yards per carry. Williamsville also got a significant boost from Josh Cates, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 94 yards.
When it comes to explaining why Auburn lost on Friday, one person who can't be blamed is Jack Jones. Despite the final result, he threw for 353 yards and two touchdowns, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground. Clayton Dinardo also helped out as he racked up 124 receiving yards.
Williamsville is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 7-2 record this season. As for Auburn, their loss dropped their record down to 5-4.
Williamsville will look to defend their home field on Friday against Tolono Unity at 7:00 p.m. Tolono Unity is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune. Auburn does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
