Independent unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They were beaten by the Olpe Eagles 47-17 on Tuesday. The Panthers' loss signaled the end of their 15-game winning streak dating back to last season.

The win made it two in a row for Olpe and bumps their season record up to 2-0.

Independent will be home for the holidays to greet Life Prep at 6:00 p.m. on December 17th. As for Olpe, they will head out to challenge Neodesha on Thursday.
