The Charlevoix Rayders had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 15.5 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. They took down Gaylord 67-52. For Charlevoix, this counts as revenge for the 67-45 defeat Gaylord walked away with the last time they faced one another back in December of 2022.
Despite the loss, Gaylord still got an impressive performance from Luke Gelow, who scored 29 points along with 8 rebounds. Gelow scored a full 55.8% of Gaylord's points, the second time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Will Bethuy was another key contributor, scoring 5 points along with 7 rebounds.
Charlevoix pushed their record up to 3-0 with that victory, which was their third straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.3 points per game. As for Gaylord, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.
Charlevoix's homestand continues as they prepare to take on Harbor Springs at 7:00 p.m. on December 8th. As for Gaylord, they will head out on the road to face off against Benzie Central at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
