Make it five blowout wins for the Del Sol Dragons this season. They blew past Sandy Valley 67-17 on the road. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest win Del Sol has managed all season.
Del Sol found their leader in underclassman Raina Cobbin, who scored 21 points. That's the first time this season that Cobbin scored 15 or more points. Another player making a difference was Morgan White, who scored 14 points.
The victory (which was Del Sol's fourth in a row) raised their record to 9-3. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.8 points per game. As for Sandy Valley, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-6.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Del Sol's road trip will continue as they head out to face Canyon Springs at 6:30 p.m. on January 18th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Nevada (Canyon Springs is ranked 23rd, while Del Sol is ranked 30th). As for Sandy Valley, they will head out on the road to challenge Beaver Dam at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday.
