South Bend St. Joseph relied on the efforts of Trinity Parker, who went 9 of 14 en route to 20 points and three steals, and Kayla Woods, who posted nine points along with seven boards and six assists. Woods has been hot for a while, having also posted two or more steals the last nine times she's played. Kenadie Schrock was another key player, putting up six points along with six boards and five assists.
They weren't the only one working in the assists department: South Bend St. Joseph was working as a unit and finished the game with 19 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Caston, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Saturday. They came out on top against Triton by a score of 56-48 on Saturday.
Caston's win came from a few key players South Bend St. Joseph will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Madisyn Douglass, who had 27 points in addition to five boards and four steals. That makes it 12 consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Caston's points.
