After losing to the Menlo School Knights the last time they met, the King's Academy Knights decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. King's Academy managed a 50-45 win over the Knights on Tuesday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for King's Academy.
King's Academy's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Caleb Hughey, who scored 15 points along with seven rebounds. Xavier Barnett was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with six assists and five rebounds.
King's Academy has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 14-5 record this season. As for Menlo School, their loss dropped their record down to 11-9.
King's Academy will look to defend their home court on Friday against the Gryphons at 7:30 p.m. Crystal Springs Uplands is no doubt hoping to put an end to a five-game streak of away losses. As for Menlo School, they will head out on the road to square off against the Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Harker will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps California Rankings (they are ranked 868th, while the Knights are ranked 242nd).
