Softball Recap: Grandview Takes Down Mcgregor in a Playoff Battle

It's playoff time, and Grandview had no trouble coming through when it counted. They put the hurt on the McGregor Bulldogs with a sharp 9-1 victory on Friday. The result was nothing new for the Zebras, who have now won 20 matchups by seven runs or more so far this season.

The win (which was Grandview's 14th in a row) raised their record to 26-3. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.7 runs over those games. As for McGregor, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 22-6.

Coming up, Grandview will challenge Fairfield on Saturday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Zebras 1.1, the Eagles 2.4) so any runs scored will be well earned. McGregor does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
