California entered their tilt with Nevada Union on Saturday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Miners.

Carly Johnson paced California's offense, picking up eight kills. Johnson got some help from Chloe Caturegli and her nine assists. Ava Villela controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

California's victory bumped their record up to 9-11. As for Nevada Union, the defeat snapped their winning streak at six matches and leaves them with a 17-15 record.

California didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-1 win against Granite Bay on the 11th. As for Nevada Union, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 2-1 victory against Hilmar on the 11th.
