Nativity BVM is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They blew past Lincoln Leadership Academy 22-5 on Friday. The victory continues a trend for the Green Wave in their matchups with the Lions: they've now won seven in a row.
Chloe Covell made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Those zero hits allowed gave her a new career-low. She was also big at the plate, scoring two runs while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances. That's the most runs she has posted since back in April of 2024.

In other batting news, Nativity BVM let Macie Rushannon and Lauren Clark run wild. Rushannon got on base in all four of her plate appearances with one home run, seven RBI, and three runs, while Clark got on base in three of her four plate appearances with one home run, five RBI, and two runs. The dominant performance also gave Rushannon a new career-high in hits (two). Carleigh Palmieri was another key player, scoring two runs while going 1-for-2.
Nativity BVM always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .844. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Tri-Valley had taken Williams Valley down for four straight games at home, but that winning streak came to an end on Saturday. Tri-Valley fell just short of Williams Valley by a score of 7-5. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Bulldogs have suffered against the Vikings since May 8, 2019.
Alina Leonard made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Mady Schwalm, who went 2-for-3 with one RBI.
Nativity BVM's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-5. As for Tri-Valley, their loss ended a nine-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 2-2.
Monday's matchup might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Nativity BVM has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .493. However, it's not like Tri-Valley struggles in that department as they've averaged .468. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
