Jordan Valley had already won five in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 26 points) and they went ahead and made it six on Friday. Everything went their way against the New Hope Christian Warriors as they made off with a 52-31 win. The Mustangs have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 14 games by 21 points or more this season.

When it comes to explaining why New Hope Christian lost, don't look at Ava Barnett. Despite the final result, she posted 15 points in addition to five rebounds and three steals. That was a full 48.4% of New Hope Christian's points, marking the 14th time in a row Barnett has scored more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaylin Matthiesen, who earned two points and nine boards.

Jordan Valley pushed their record up to 21-3 with the victory, which was their ninth straight at home. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.1 points over those games. As for New Hope Christian, the loss snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 22-3 record.

Coming up, Jordan Valley will square off against Country Christian at 3:15 p.m. on Wednesday. New Hope Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
