The Carlin Railroaders's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their fifth straight defeat. They were beaten by McDermitt 62-10. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Carlin in their matchups with the Bulldogs: they've now lost six in a row.
Carlin's defeat was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 3-15. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 18.1 points per game. As for McDermitt, the victory was the ninth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 12-2.
Coincidentally, Carlin and the Bulldogs will both be playing the Braves the next time they take the court. McDermitt will host Owyhee at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, while Carlin will head out to face them at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
