Two dominant in Nils Behnke and Jackson Risley are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Cedar Vale/Dexter Spartans's road trip will continue as they head out to face the Caldwell Bluejays at 7:30 p.m. on January 23rd. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Last Friday, Cedar Vale/Dexter came up short against Oxford and fell 64-51.
Meanwhile, Caldwell's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight loss. They lost to Sedan on the road by a decisive 66-48 margin.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the most dominant came from Risley, who scored 20 points along with five rebounds and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Miles Newell, who scored ten points along with six rebounds.
Cedar Vale/Dexter's defeat dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Caldwell, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-6 record this season.
Cedar Vale/Dexter came up short against Caldwell when the teams last played back in January of 2022, falling 38-34. Can Cedar Vale/Dexter avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
