Even though the Cedar Park Timberwolves have not done well against the Leander Lions recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. Cedar Park took down Leander 54-40. Winning may never get old, but Cedar Park sure is getting used to it with their third in a row.
Cedar Park got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Reid Vines out in front who scored ten points along with three steals. The game was Vines' fourth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Nabil Ismail, who scored eight points along with six rebounds.
Cedar Park has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 14-9 record this season. As for Leander, their loss dropped their record down to 11-9.
Cedar Park will be playing in front of their home fans against Rouse at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Rouse presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Cedar Park in Texas (Rouse is ranked 33rd, while Cedar Park is ranked 302nd). As for Leander, they will head out on the road to face off against Lockhart at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Lockhart is out to stop a five-game streak of losses at home.
