The Mercy School Institute Mustangs's four-game losing streak came to an end on Friday. They strolled past Trinity with points to spare, taking the game 35-21. The win was just what Mercy School Institute needed coming off of a 56-9 defeat in their prior match.
Mercy School Institute found their leader in underclassman Lujayn Alkalani, who scored 24 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Alkalani has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Habiba Amin, who scored six points.
Mercy School Institute's win ended a six-game drought on the road and puts them at 3-8. As for Trinity, their loss was their fourth straight at home, which bumped their record down to 0-5.
Mercy School Institute will take on Immanuel Lutheran Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Trinity does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
