Baseball Recap: Raritan Extends Winning Streak to Five

Raritan waltzed into their game on Tuesday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They were the clear victors by an 11-0 margin over the Manchester Township Hawks. The Rockets might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight matches by seven runs or more this season.

The team relied heavily on Matt Melendez, who went 1-for-2 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Travis Evernham, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Raritan's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 18-7. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.7 runs over those games. As for Manchester Township, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-18.

As of now, neither Raritan nor the Hawks have any future games scheduled.
