Somerset is 8-2 against Floresville since December of 2018, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Somerset Bulldogs will head out on the road to face off against the Floresville Tigers at 6:15 p.m. Somerset will be strutting in after a win while Floresville will be coming in after a defeat.
Somerset can finally bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Friday. They came out on top against Pearsall by a score of 40-27.
Meanwhile, after a string of three wins, Floresville's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. The match between Floresville and Devine wasn't particularly close, with Floresville falling 44-30.
Despite the loss, Floresville got a solid performance out of Jordin Johns, who scored ten points along with six rebounds and four steals. Johns hasn't dropped below two steals for four straight games. Jia Johns was another key contributor, scoring four points along with three steals.
Somerset's victory bumped their record up to 8-20. As for Floresville, their loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 17-12.
Somerset was taken down by Floresville 57-23 when the teams last played back in December of 2023. Can Somerset avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
