The Holbrook Roadrunners will face off against the Williams Vikings at 2:00 p.m. on Monday.
Holbrook's tournament run continued when they took on Window Rock last Saturday. The Roadrunners fell 10-7 to the Fighting Scouts.
Holbrook saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Elena Philpott, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI, one run, and one double. Willow Guttery was another, going 2-for-3 with two runs and one double.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Williams). They blew past Hayden 13-1 on Saturday. The Vikings haven't had any issues with the Lobos recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.
Danika Howe made a big impact no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run while striking out ten over five innings pitched. Howe was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in May of 2025.
In other batting news, Faith Jensen and Kenzie Orozco did most of the damage at the plate: Jensen went 1-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base, while Orozco went a perfect 2-for-2 with three runs and one RBI. Those three runs gave Orozco a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Kallie Trimble, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs.
Williams always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .556. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Holbrook's loss dropped their record down to 5-7. As for Williams, their win bumped their record up to 3-5.
Holbrook got the 'W' in their previous meeting back in April of 2025 against Williams by a conclusive 14-6 score. Will the Roadrunners repeat their success, or do the Vikings have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
