Football Recap: Trinity Classical Academy Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Trinity Classical Academy had won two straight games and Hudson Sweitzer did his part to make it three on Friday. The Knights came within five points of losing the streak, but they secured a 36-31 W against the Riverside Prep Silver Knights for which the team can thank Sweitzer, who rushed for 213 yards and three scores while picking up 9.3 yards per carry. He has become a key player for Trinity Classical Academy: the team is 3-1 when he posts at least two rushing touchdowns, but 1-2 otherwise.

Andrew Carlson was another major influence, as he rushed for 64 yards and ran in a TD. He also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, making four total tackles and defending one pass in addition to snagging an interception.

Trinity Classical Academy didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Carlson and Aiden Visconti.

Trinity Classical Academy now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Riverside Prep, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-6.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Trinity Classical Academy will face off against Temecula Prep at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Knights will be up against the Patriots' rather soft defense (which has allowed 34.13 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Riverside Prep, they will square off against Silver Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Silver Knights will be up against the Trojans' rather soft defense (which has allowed 34.25 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
