Last Monday, Coral Gables came up short against Goleman and fell 46-36. While losing is never fun, Coral Gables can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 557th, while Goleman is ranked 260th).
Despite the loss, Coral Gables had strong showings from Sela Pe?a, who scored eight points, and Kamariya Dekle, who scored six points.
Meanwhile, after a string of four wins, Palmetto's good fortune finally ran out on Monday. They had to suffer through a rough 55-17 loss at the hands of Southridge. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Palmetto has scored all season.
Coral Gables' loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Palmetto, their loss dropped their record down to 4-2.
