The Lunenburg Central Chargers lost against the Nottoway Cougars back in January of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result  on Wednesday. Lunenburg Central took a  48-41 hit to the loss column at the hands of Nottoway. Lunenburg Central has not had much luck with Nottoway recently, as the team's come up short the last seven times they've met.
 Nottoway got their  win on the backs of several key players, but it was  Kendreyeus Johnson out in front who  scored 16 points along with three  steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which  Johnson has scored at least 25% of Nottoway's points.  Anton Carter Jr. was another key contributor,  scoring eight points along with nine  rebounds.
 Lunenburg Central's loss dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Nottoway, their win bumped their record up to 2-7.
 Lunenburg Central will be playing in front of their home fans against Cumberland at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. As for Nottoway, they will head out on the road to face off against Prince Edward County at 7:00  p.m.  on Tuesday.
