Elberta had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 16 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They were the clear victors by an 18-2 margin over the Rain Red Raiders. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 25-0 last Thursday.

Elberta's victory bumped their record up to 13-6. As for Rain, they are on an 11-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-10.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Elberta will face off against Fairhope at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Elberta 3.9, Fairhope 4.1) so any runs scored will be well earned. As for Rain, they will challenge LeFlore at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
