They ended up on the wrong side of a rough 56-32 walloping at the hands of Chandler Prep. Sequoia Pathway Academy has struggled against the Titans recently, as their game on Monday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Chandler Prep got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Jane Quinlivan out in front who scored 13 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Quinlivan has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Jill Mcdonald, who scored 13 points.
Sequoia Pathway Academy's loss was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-11. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 19.0 points per game. As for Chandler Prep, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a massive bump to their 13-12 record this season.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Sequoia Pathway Academy will stay at home for another game and welcome the Matador at 6:00 p.m. on January 31st. Maryvale Prep's defense has only allowed 27.8 points per game this season, so the Pumas' offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Chandler Prep, they will be playing in front of their home fans against the Wolves at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. St. Augustine Catholic is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
