After losing to High Street Christian Academy the last time they met, the First Baptist Crusaders decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. In a tight game that could have gone either way, First Baptist made off with a 49-48 victory over High Street Christian Academy. The team accrued 37 points in the first half and coasted on those for the victory.
Levi Borner was his usual excellent self, scoring 16 points along with 7 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Josh Anderson , who scored 8 points along with 9 rebounds.
First Baptist now has a winning record of 4-3. As for High Street Christian Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-1.
First Baptist is on the road again on Friday and play against Hammond Baptist at 1:30 p.m. on December 1st. Hammond Baptist is coming into the match hot, having won their last three games. As for High Street Christian Academy, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Mohican Young Star Academy at 6:00 p.m.
