Madylinn Grindstaff made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She struck out seven batters over four innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off three hits (and not a single walk). She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in nine consecutive appearances. She was even better at the plate, getting on base in five of her six plate appearances with one home run, four stolen bases, and four runs. Those four runs gave her a new career-high.
