Mateo Ceja put up the most strikeouts he's had since back in February on Wednesday. He struck out six batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off five hits (and only one walk). He is becoming a predictor of Ripon Christian's success: when he allows at most one earned run the team is 6-2 (and 3-7 when he doesn't).

Ceja's strong effort led Ripon Christian over Orestimba and he'll get a chance to do so again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Knights are 7-2 against the Warriors going back to April of 2019, a lead they'll look to extend.
