The Memorial Red Devils will venture away from home to square off against the Lowellville Rockets at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.
As a matter of fact, Memorial put up the most runs they have all season on Thursday. Everything went their way against Western Reserve as they made off with a 21-7 win. Considering the Red Devils have won five matches by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Ramani Adams was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She struck out 11 batters over 4.2 innings while giving up five earned runs off three hits. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 5.4 strikeouts per game. She was even better at the plate, scoring three runs and stealing a base while getting on base in four of her six plate appearances.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Mileena Williams, who scored four runs and stole three bases while getting on base in all six of her plate appearances. What's more, she posted three hits, the most she's had since back in May of 2024. Mileesa Williams also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.
Memorial was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .385. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Meanwhile, the third road game was the charm for Lowellville, as they earned their first away victory of the season. They were the clear victors by a 20-8 margin over Springfield on Friday. The Rockets haven't had any issues with the Tigers recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.
Alyssa Kuzan was a standout: she got on base in four of her five plate appearances with one home run, three stolen bases, and three runs. Giuliana Alfano was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing a base while getting on base in all five of her plate appearances.
Memorial now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Lowellville, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.
Everything went Memorial's way against Lowellville in their previous matchup back in April of 2023, as Memorial made off with a 13-3 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Red Devils since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
