Providence was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight  loss. They fell  71-58 to the Independence Patriots.  Independence found their leader in sophomore  Lusemo Macharia, who  went 5 of 9  on his way to 10  points along with eight  rebounds and five  blocks. Those five  blocks set a new season-high mark for  Macharia. Another player making a difference was  Dylan McFarland, who  posted ten points.
Providence's defeat dropped their record down to 5-16. As for Independence, the  win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 17-4.
 Both  squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Providence will head out to  square off against Rocky River  at 7:30  p.m.  on Friday. Rocky River is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 57.9  points per game  this season. As for Independence, they are taking a road trip to  face off against East Mecklenburg  at 7:30  p.m.  on Friday. Independence has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 218 points over their last three contests.
